Sie haben ein oder mehrere Blutschwämmchen in der Wirbelsäule.
Ein Blutschwämmchen ist ein gutartiger Tumor, der von den Blutgefäßen ausgeht. Ein Tumor entsteht, wenn sich Zellen eines Gewebes stärker vermehren als normalerweise. Gutartige Tumoren zerstören das gesunde Gewebe nicht und breiten sich nicht im Körper aus. Solche Tumore können jedoch auf das umliegende gesunde Gewebe drücken.
Blutschwämmchen verursachen in der Wirbelsäule meistens keine Beschwerden. Wenn ein Blutschwämmchen jedoch sehr groß ist oder sich an einer ungünstigen Stelle befindet, kann es zu Beschwerden kommen. Es können dann zum Beispiel Rückenschmerzen auftreten.
