A catheter is a thin tube. This tube is inserted into a blood vessel in the groin or arm, for example, and pushed further in. Various instruments can be pushed onto the tip of the tube.X-ray images are taken during the treatment. These show clearly whether the tip of the tube is in the right place.
A special balloon was used in your treatment. This type of balloon is placed in a bottleneck and inflated there. This enables the blood vessel to be widened.
