You have a valgus deformity in your hand.
The hand is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The hand can be divided into 3 sections. The wrist (carpus) is directly connected to the forearm. Then comes the metacarpus and then the individual fingers.
The bones and joints are normally in a specific position and at specific angles to one another. With a valgus deformity, the bones or joints are not positioned as normal or not at the usual angle to one another.
A valgus deformity can develop when bones are diseased or damaged. A valgus deformity can be painful. You may not be able to move the affected part of your body properly.
